Glen Affric Duathlon 2015
After a gap of 6 years the Glen Affric Duathlon will take place this year on Saturday 25th April. The section of the Affric Kintail Way between Dog Falls and the River Affric car park via the south side of Loch Beinn a’ Mheadain forms part of the cycle course so those on the AKW will get the chance to view the event at close quarters. Of course if you’re in the area you might even like to take a break from the AKW to compete!
The road between Chisholm Bridge and River Affric Car Park will be closed, EXCEPT TO COMPETITORS AND SPECTATOR TRAFFIC between 9am and 3pm on the day of the event to ensure safety of competitors and race officials. Please therefore arrange any drop offs or pick ups at River Affric outwith these times. The number of competitors is restricted to 250 due to the limited parking but the road from Cannich will be quite busy as there are generally a good number of spectators attending the event.
If you are around on the day we are intending to have a post duathlon ceilidh in Cannich Hall in the evening to which everyone is welcome – more details to follow.
