Unusually the Snowman Rally will take place in October this year. Saturday 19^th to be specific within Glenurquhart forest again although this year starting at Balnain and heading through the normal route to Corrimony. This means that the organisers will not need to restrict any access to the Affric Kintail Way. Any walkers arriving at Balnain will be helped around our operations to carry on their way. We will also have a spectator area at Shenval but again this shouldn’t affect any users of the Way.

Given that the event generates a lot of additional traffic on the roads and large numbers of spectators we would suggest giving this section of the AKW a miss on October 19th. Rally route in yellow/red on map.
