Funding Awarded For AKW Reroute Planning Application
We are very pleased to announce that Soirbheas, the local community charity for Glen Urquhart and Strathglass, have grant funded our design and planning application costs in relation to our proposed reroute of the AKW. Soirbheas is a registered charity whose objectives are to strengthen and support the local communities in the Glens through revenues from local renewable energy schemes.
We appreciate Soirbheas’s support of our plans and look forward to taking the project another step forward.
Timber Operations January 2019
Timber extraction has begun on the highlighted area in the map. This has been delayed (reason unknown) from August last year. Apologies for short notice.
Again there will be full access during these operations but please be aware and follow any advice on notices or by the contractors.
TEMPORARY ROUTE CLOSURE
ADVANCE WARNING ROUTE CLOSURE
On Friday 8th and Saturday 9th of February Stage 1 of the AKW between Drumnadrochit and Corrimony will be effectively closed due to the SNOWMAN RALLY taking place on the forest roads between the above mentioned points.
There is no diversion available so please do not make plans for these days. Given the time of year hopefully this will not inconvenience too many people.
