Flash flooding following a severe thunderstorm last week has meant debris and some damage to the forestry road on the south side of Loch Beinn a’ Mheadhain.

FCS advise the route is passable but you should be aware of the presence of contractors vehicles during the clear up operation.

This weekend (Saturday 18th) sees the Highland Cross event taking place.  Some 800 competitors run/walk from Kintail to River Affric on the AKW prior to cycling on to Beauly.

Please note that the public road from Fasnakyle at Cannich to River Affric car park will be closed from 11am untill 4pm for safety reasons.  If you are visiting Glen Affric on Saturday please take this into account when making travel arrangements.
