Road Closure 12th May 2018 for Glen Affric Duathlon
The Glen Affric Duathlon takes place on 12th May this year. For safety reasons the road through Glen Affric will be closed only from Chisholm Bridge to the River Affric Car Park (approx. 1 mile). Access will be restricted to competitors, organisers and emergency services.
This may affect drop off/pick up arrangements for those on the AKW.
The public road up to this point will of course be open to all, including the car parks at Dog Falls and Loch Beinn a’ Mheadhain.
The cycle stage of the duathlon includes the public road from Chisholm Bridge to Dog Falls Car Park so car drivers and pedestrians are advised to take care on this section. The cycle route then extends to the forest tracks south of Dog Falls i.e. part of AKW where again care should be taken.
There will be marshals at all key points on the course and members of the public are asked to comply with any requests they make to ensure everyone’s safety.
